High damage threshold, large area, laser energy sensors for up to 10 kHz repetition rates.
EnergyMax Convenience Features:
Coherent High Repetition-Rate EnergyMax sensors are specifically designed for use with high power lasers operating at repetition rates up to 10 kHz. These sensors feature broad wavelength coverage (190 nm to 2.1 µm) and large active area (up to 50 mm), and utilize a novel diffuse metallic coating that delivers increased damage threshold and reduced specular reflectance.
The High Repetition-Rate EnergyMax Series comprises three different models that allow measurement over a wide range of wavelengths, beam diameters, average power levels and repetition rates. All these detectors features Coherent’s unique diffuse metallic coating, which offers significantly higher damage resistance than traditional chrome coatings. In addition, the Coherent diffuse metallic coating produces very little specular reflectance, thus eliminating spurious beams that can re-enter the laser cavity.
High Repetition-Rate EnergyMax Series products are also “smart” sensors, and incorporate onboard electronics to automatically correct for ambient temperature, as well as built-in wavelength compensation factors. These sensors are compatible with Coherent LabMax-Pro SSIM and LabMax-TOP meters. USB and RS232 enabled models are also available.
The 25 mm and 50 mm diameter sensors accept an optional heatsink, which can be easily attached by the user to extend energy and/or repetition rate range. Specifically, these heat sinks allow the J-25MT-10KHZ sensor to be used up to 30W average power, and the J-50MT-10KHZ sensor to be used up to 50W average power.
The table outlines the average power handling capability when the sensors are used with optional user installable heat sinks.
