SPADE – Basic Operation
The SPADE Basic Operation course prepares users to install, operate, optimize, and maintain the laser. Firmware upgrades, computer control, data logging, diagnostics, and adjustments are covered.
Topics: Laser, electrical, and lab safety; thermal management; laser overview; laser installation, handling and shipping; communications; faults; troubleshooting.
Prerequisites: An understanding of basic optical fiber/laser theory and electro-optic devices is recommended. Experience with high power lasers is also helpful.
