The course is directed toward experienced maintenance personnel with a working knowledge in electronics, which, by attending this course, will be able to independently maintain, service, and adjust the workstation motion, pneumatic, and electronic systems, and adjust the laser system. At the conclusion of this course, the student will be able to analyze and correct any error(s) which may occur.
Topics: Laser safety and Laser principle; Overview of the components of a ProLas workstation and laser system. Error analysis, working with a laser power meter, Exchange of the Laser Beam Source, beam delivery \video alignment, and creating\executing simple welding programs after repair work.
Optional Topics: More in-depth laser maintenance and application training is available upon request.
Prerequisites: Experienced maintenance personnel. Students should be able to read schematics and relate them to the actual assembly of the electrical supply cabinet; Basic Electromechanical principles and safety knowledge is required. Additionally, a working knowledge of CNC Machine G-code programming is desired, as G-code programming is not taught in this course.
