Visual Laser Marker (VLM) – Software and Maintenance Course

The aim of this course is to give an overview of VLM and VMC. The course also includes VLM system coordination, drawing, editing, preparing, and filling objects and text for the marking. Furthermore, creating bar-code and Data matrix code, importing objects in DXF, PDF format or logos. The students will learn how to set and optimize laser parameters on a basic level. The course is directed toward experienced maintenance personnel with as much in-depth knowledge in electronics as possible who, by attending this course, will be able to independently operate and maintain the Laser system. The student shall become able to personally analyze and correct errors which may occur.

Topics: Laser and electrical safety; Overview about the components of the laser system, Introduction into the function and use of the LaserConsole, Execution of simple Layouts with VLM and VMC, Basic Maintenance work on the Laser system.

Prerequisites: Solid basic knowledge of Windows-based PCs and experience in the operation of Microsoft WIN experienced maintenance personnel. Basic Electromechanical principles and safety knowledge is required.
