CMF, Cladding Mode Suppressed Photosensitive Optical Fiber

Product image of CMF, Cladding Mode Suppressed Photosensitive Optical Fiber

Coherent Cladding Mode Free (CMF) fibers are designed to eliminate cladding modes, enabling tighter channel spacing for high-speed communications. With excellent cladding mode suppression and mode matching to conventional fibers, CMF fibers deliver superior performance for WDM applications.

Features and Benefits

  • Excellent cladding mode suppression - Allows for tighter channel spacing
  • Mode matched to conventional transmission fibers - Low splice loss (< 0.1 dB typically)
  • RoHS compliant

Applications

  • Couplers
  • C+L band gratings
  • Polyimide version
  • Sensors
