Coherent
HighLight FL - GEN3 – Customer Frontline
Course Description: The HighLight FL Customer Frontline course is designed for customers who operate, maintain, and perform self-service for HighLight FL laser systems. The course covers the principles of laser safety regulations, site requirements, interface options, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. The trainee will learn to identify the main components of the laser system and be qualified to diagnose faults at the major component level. This enables the customer to assess laser system failure and then exchange the appropriate FRU up to and including the laser source. The related customer self-service documentation requirements, use of GUI and Service Tool software tools, and Coherent service response are covered. If the sub-system is included, the training includes a mechanical overview of the sub-system, FRU inspection and replacement, software start-up/shut-down, and diagnostic and troubleshooting with basic part/parameter setup and execution.
Note: At the end of the course, students receive a certification valid for 18 months. After 18 months, we recommend a refresher training (1 day) to renew the certification.
Topics: Laser safety, equipment configuration, electrical and cooling requirements, interface options and operation modes, laser diagnostics, GUI and Service Tool software, self-service procedures, and Coherent service response.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is an advantage. Complete product knowledge requires a thorough understanding of the various electrical and optical devices and their interdependencies in a fiber laser system.
