The Chameleon compact OPO Service course prepares students to install, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the OPO. Course content ranges from basic theory of operation and laser alignment through to optical troubleshooting. Upon successfully completing the course, students should be able to install, control, and operate the laser.
Topics: Laser and lab safety, thermal management, OPO head design, laser alignment, OPO peripherals, and calibration.
Prerequisites: Successfully completing the Chameleon/Chameleon Vision Service course. A complete understanding of different electronic devices and their role in the circuit. The student should be able to read schematics and block diagrams and relate them to the actual assembly of printed circuit boards and any other applied circuitry.
