The LFS and PH30 Scribing Head Operation and Maintenance course is designed for people who service and maintain the LFS and the PH30 scribing head. The course covers the theory of operation,
safety regulations, laser theory for the system, and operation and preventive maintenance. Students will learn to
identify proper operation and will be qualified to diagnose faults at the basic level.
Topics: Laser, electrical, and lab safety, daily operation, specifications, site requirements, the basic theory of oper-
ation, troubleshooting, and beam alignment.
Prerequisites: Complete product knowledge requires a good understanding of different electronic and optical devices and their role in the circuit. Students should be able to read schematics and relate them to the actual assembly of printed circuit boards and any other applied circuitry.
