Select IV – Setup and CNC
The course prepares students to setup the Select welding system, control and adjust laser parameters, create, modify, and use CNC programs, and create MAP and Track files. Basic adjustments and maintenance work are covered, as well as error code identification. After successful completion, students should be able to operate the system, adjust system parameters, and work with G-Code to create and modify CNC programs.
Topics: Laser and electrical safety; system overview and options; beam path and safety features; focus adjustments; laser parameters and their effects; MAP and Track function; CNC commands and laser control; maintenance and error code identification.
Prerequisites: Understanding CNC-controlled systems is helpful, and a basic understanding of (laser) welding is recommended.
