The Select, Integral, Performance Process Development course covers briefly, in overview: application and system overview; making a weld; weld parameter setup; application and process techniques. Hands-on laboratory time allows students to test their knowledge and develop skills to ensure that they are capable of efficient use of applications in the field. Upon successfully completing the course, students should be able to control, setup, program, and operate the laser. Students will be taught about their specific laser system. Topics are customizable, upon written request.
Topics: Laser, electrical, and lab safety; basic operation; software overview; programming and G-codes; laser welding.
Prerequisites: Basic G-code knowledge would be helpful.
