The PWS Basic Operation course is designed for people that operate and service the PWS 3 welding system. The course covers the practical operation of the PWS 3. Students will learn to identify proper operation and will be qualified to diagnose faults at the basic level. The course also covers theoretical basics about the welding process. Students will learn to set up the welding process and will be able to identify basic welding problems.
Topics: Laser, electrical, and lab safety; basic operation (level 2 Fitter), setting up the weld sensor, specifications including Gap-Plasma-Laser-Field, basic welding theory, basic troubleshooting, and site requirements.
Prerequisites: Complete product knowledge requires a thorough understanding of various electronic devices and their role in the circuit. Students should be able to read schematics and relate them to the actual assembly of the laser welding system and any other circuitry. Notes: An actual welding process is not possible in the Training Center. A basic operation course regarding the connected laser source is not mandatory, but it would lead to a higher qualification as operator. At the end of the course, the students get a certification for a duration of 18 months. After 18 months, we recommend refresh training to renew the certification.
