ExciStar Level-A Course (Operation)

The ExciStar A-Level course prepares students to operate the laser. Students will be informed about the safety aspect of the laser and all main sources of hazards. Course content ranges from basic theory of laser function to operation. Extensive hands-on laboratory time allows students to test their knowledge and develop skills to ensure that they are capable of operating the laser safely.

Topics: Function of all main modules like laser tube, ASSP, gas handling, water cooling, energy monitoring, and internal and external communication; safety aspect and sources of hazard; operation of the laser in different working modes and duty cycles; performance check.

Prerequisites: Complete product knowledge requires a basic understanding of electronic and optical systems. Students should be able to read and speak English or German. Some basic knowledge of how to read schematics and/or block diagrams would be very helpful.Remote Training Option: On request. Please contact your Coherent representative to clarify possible options.
