HM2D / RLSK Installation and Service Training

Course Description: To teach and certify trainees on the installation and commissioning of the HM2D or RLSK scanner system. Trainees will get a general overview of the scanner system hardware and learn the basic use of the RLSK Studio software. The focus of the training is the connection of the Scanner system to a PLC or Robot (fieldbus, hardware I/O). Moreover, detailed maintenance aspects are part of the training, as are solutions to common errors.

Topics: System overview of the Scanner, EPS, and media, Software RLSK Studio overview and simple programming of welding task, focal positioning, interaction with external PLC via fieldbus, Hardwire I/O, scanner head swap, explanation of the log files, maintenance, spare parts, and common errors.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of basic laser theory and laser welding processes is recommended; use of a Windows PC; knowledge of fieldbus (Profinet, Ethercat, ...); knowledge of PLC/Robot programming is recommended.

*Remote training notes: The training can be divided into smaller sections (like 4 times 4 h = 16 h). Access to Microsoft Teams or Zoom on a PC capable of establishing a connection to the remote system.
