HM2D and HIGHvision - Operating Training

Course Description: To teach and certify trainees on the installation and service of the HM2D or RLSK system. Trainees will learn how to set up the scanner system on the customer’s machinery and establish communication with the customer’s PLC via Fieldbus and hardwired I/Os. Trainees will get an overview of the hardware, the software, the settings, and fault diagnostics and resolution. Participants will also receive a comprehensive overview of both the hardware components, such as the camera and illumination units, and the associated software environment. The training will introduce the fundamental concepts behind the various algorithms used by the vision system. One selected algorithm will be covered in detail, including hands-on exercises. Trainees will have the opportunity to practice this algorithm using either customer-specific samples or generic training materials, if possible.

Topics: System overview of the Scanner, EPS, and media, Software RLSK Studio overview and programming of welding task, interaction with external PLC via fieldbus, Hardwire I/O, practical training on the system, maintenance, spare parts, and common errors.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of basic laser theory and laser welding processes is recommended; a Windows PC. The Scanner System must be operational and available.

*Remote training notes: The training can be divided into smaller sections (like 4 times 8 h = 32 h). Access to Microsoft Teams or Zoom on a PC capable of establishing a connection to the remote system.
