INNOVA FreD (Frequency Doubled) systems combine the best features of our standard ion laser product lines with wavelength coverage extended into the deep-UV.

FreD lasers use intra-cavity frequency doubling to produce continuous wave laser emission in the 229 to 264 nm wavelength range. This portion of the electromagnetic spectrum provides significant utility in a number of applications, such as fiber-grating manufacturing, UV resonance Raman spectroscopy, and semiconductor applications.

A Deep and Agile Ion Laser

In applications requiring deep-UV, the qualities of the output beam are of the utmost importance. FreD lasers exhibit exceptional spatial and temporal coherence, wavelength stability, and output power stability. These factors make FreD lasers the ideal product for exacting applications requiring precise process control.

  • Multiline visible output to 20 W, single-line deep-UV to 1 W
  • Each system carries the characteristic features of its parent family
  • I-300C and Sabre models incorporate motorized crystal shifting, which are accessible from the digital remote, or from external computer control
