Talisker is a family of high peak power and high average power picosecond lasers designed specifically for micro-materials processing. Based on a modular fiber laser with regenerative amplifier platform, Talisker is designed for an industrial environment and meets the availability requirements of demanding industries.

Delivering picosecond pulses, these lasers minimize the heat affected zone to enable smaller feature sizes for high precision micromachining. Minimizing thermal damage enables a new range of high precision applications such as silicon machining, wafer dicing, solar cell manufacturing and glass scribing with unprecedented quality. Talisker lasers process a wide variety of materials, including silicon, polyimide, metals, ”hard materials,” and glass.

The Talisker platform is designed for industrial applications. For high power and high repetition rate industrial applications the Talisker 500 is available at the specific single wavelengths of 1064 nm, 532 nm and 355 nm. For application development the Talisker Ultra includes all three wavelengths.

The modular design of the Talisker laser, with fiber seed, regenerative amplifier, Coherent AAA pump diodes combined with long lifetime harmonics generation gives the Talisker a low cost of ownership, flexible service packages and the long lifetime demanded by industrial applications.

The unique capabilities of picosecond pulses are ideal for high quality micromachining as they enable smaller feature sizes required by product roadmaps in a wide range of industries. Talisker provides this superior level of industrial precision.

Computer control enables both smooth interface integration in machining tool designs and new applications development in an early project phase. The integrated AOM enables selection of pulses and custom pulse energy patterns. Harmonic versions of Talisker Ultra provide up to three output beams (1064 nm, 532 nm or 355 nm) from parallel beam exit ports enabling a fast track to the development of new applications.Talisker 500 offers high repetition rate and power for truly industrial applications.
