Libra is a family of integrated, one-box, computer controlled, Ti:Sapphire amplifiers featuring performance characteristics comparable to advanced multi-box designs, inherent stability, and a compact footprint in an easy-to-use, economical configuration. Libra is fully compatible with the OPerA Solo and TOPAS OPAs, and the HGS harmonic generation accessory for extended wavelength coverage.

The Libra design integrates our industrial-grade, Vitesse oscillator and proven, Evolution pump laser with a thermally stabilized, regenerative amplifier module. A compact stretcher and compressor support short pulses with unsurpassed beam quality.

This amplifier is available with a choice of pulse energy and repetition rates. The standard Libra offers >1 mJ at 1 kHz while the Libra-HE guarantees >3.5 mJ. Both models are also available in 5 kHz configurations. Libra-HE systems are offered with pulse width specifications of either <100 fs or <50 fs.

The Libra-HE system employs the E-2 Engine™ regenerative amplifier design which is also used in all Legend Elite amplifiers. This provides increased energy and efficiency while maintaining beam quality, stability and reliability.
