Evolution is a family of  frequency-doubled, Nd:YLF lasers with excellent mode quality, stability and a range of power levels ideally suited to pumping Ti:Sapphire ultrafast amplifiers. Specifically, the Evolution-HE, produces >45W of average power and >45 mJ of 527 nm pulse energy at 1 kHz.

With diode laser lifetimes often exceeding 10,000 hours, Evolution's diode-pumping module is key to its reliability, power stability, low noise, excellent beam quality, and compact size.

Highly efficient diode-pumping lowers the thermal load on the YLF rod, which—in turn—reduces noise, improves power stability and enhances beam quality. Evolution is built in a monolithic, thermally stabilized enclosure for reliable, alignment-free operation and rugged packaging.

Like Verdi—our CW pump laser—Evolution is the industry's best-selling laser in its class. Because an ultrafast amplifier is only as good as its pump laser, it is not surprising that Evolution pumps more amplifiers than any other Q-switched pump laser in the world.
