This document describes the CDRH-compliant configuration of the Sapphire™ CW blue OEM laser family.The CDRH-compliant product supports end-user requirements and stand-alone applications. In the CDRH configuration a turn-key CDRH controller unit drives the laser head. Depending on the Sapphire power level (10-75 mW or 100-500 mW), two different CDRH controller types are used: Low power (LP) or high power (HP).
Thermal management of the laser head is not supported by the CDRH configuration: The end user is required either to order the optional heat sink or to take responsibility for heatsinking the individual system, by following the thermal impedance requirements described in the Sapphire OEM laser data sheet. Please refer to the drawings on the reverse side for the dimensions of the laser head mounted on the optional heatsink.
