DIAMOND E-Series are sealed, pulsed CO2 lasers offering maximum powers of 1 kW, or peak powers of up to multiple kW in a fully integrated, compact package. The E-Series features a broad power range of products, including the E-150 (150W), E-400 (400W) and the newly released E-1000 (1 kW).
By incorporating the RF power supply within the laser head, the E-Series completely eliminates the RF umbilical, increases laser reliability, and simplifies its integration into a workstation or robotic tool. In addition the sealed E-1000 requires no external gas supply. Since, the only connection to the laser is a power cord, this lightweight, high performance laser can easily be mounted on a moving robot arm. For E-Series lasers >400W, the RF power supply is detachable and a full suite of on board diagnostics (accessable via the Internet) is available that allows for proactive maintenance.
The unique pulsing characteristics derived from its slab discharge design enables the E-Series laser to reach peak powers in excess of 1 kW, in contrast to CW modulated lasers. And the E-Series can be operated with pulse repetition rates up to 100 kHz, with fast pulse rise and fall times. This combination of high peak power and fast rise and fall time times, together with power on demand and excellent beam quality, makes the E-Series an ideal laser for a wide range of materials processing applications.
Packed into the unique E-Series design are a host of high performance features, making it uniquely suited for use in space-sensitive applications involving cutting, perforating and drilling of paper, plastic films, plastics, glass, carbon composites, and even thin metals.
