Through kind collaboration with Dr Brad Amos, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Dr Stefanie Reichelt, Cambridge Research Institute CRUK, we are proud to announce our second annual Multiphoton Workshop. This workshop is designed to build upon our previous successful Multiphoton Confocal User Group Meetings and Workshops organized by Scott Crane in the US & our team in the UK.

We are set for the second annual workshop to be held at Cambridge Research Institute (CRI) on February 3 and 4, 2010 and aim to get as many groups as possible involved with this exciting event.  Our aim is to grow the conference year by year, through which we can learn and discuss as groups and ultimately as a user family. Please add these dates to your calendar today.

This year we join Dr Brad Amos & Dr Stefanie Reichelt from the Cambridge Research Institute.

This year's workshop schedule is very special.  The workshop will include a special Questions & Answers session on Thursday afternoon whereby we will select submitted questions that will be answered from our panel of speakers.   Two fun filled days will be enjoyable to all – covering basics to latest discoveries and will be time well spent.  Lunch & Tea breaks will be provided on both days.

Wednesday & Thursday will conclude with user group meetings and with technical presentations from groups engaged in research using MPE as an application tool. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the next generation of Chameleon ultrafast lasers from Coherent during the talk on Thursday.

The conference is a rare opportunity to learn about the research work from some of the most prestigious groups in Europe and the US. Please make sure you add these dates to your schedule and register early as places are limited.  Please email sales.uk@coherent.com for attendance information.

Our key goal is to offer a venue for collaboration and networking within the UK. The interaction between groups, students, and principal researchers is key to our meeting. We would like to make our MPE Users Group Meeting one to lay the foundation for many to come with your help, participation and support.
As our speakers program is solidified we will be updating our website with the latest information.

The conference sponsors a student-led poster session. We invite you to be part of this component of the conference, which includes judging and a prize for the best student poster. Please use the email address above for submitting your poster abstract for inclusion in the afternoon session.

Coherent are very pleased to be able to offer attendance to the workshop, at no cost to you. You will be our guest for a catered buffet style lunch on Wednesday & Thursday. We will conclude on Wednesday with an evening dinner buffet, with more informal conversation and camaraderie.

Please forward this notice to others in your group and on campus that may have some interest in the conference and workshop.

Of special note, all communication regarding the conference, to include updates, list of speakers, abstracts, and reminders will be done through email and our web site. Please register on the web site and supply us with your challenging questions. There is a section where you can register multiple people from the same group. All registrants will receive routine communication regarding the conference via email.

Please make sure you add the conference to your calendar and visit the conference web site often for all the updated information and registration.
See you at the CRI in Cambridge February 3rd & 4th 2010.

Best regards,

Mark Day
